Parents are the people who make the most significant difference in a child’s life, so it is crucial we form a strong partnership with them, right from the start. We believe in the importance of forming close relationships with our families, recognising the positive influence this has on the children and therefore we aim to be available to talk at anytime.
Once a term we hold a parent partnership evening. This is an opportunity for you to discuss with your child’s key person how they have settled, what they like to do, and how we can together support your child’s progress.
We hold a parent workshop and stay and play session each term, this is where we invite you into nursery to learn more about your child’s experience in Chatham and how you can support their learning at home.
We invite parents to join us on trips and visits, and in for after school clubs, such as family book club and family maths club. This is in order for us to offer families the chance to share their child’s experience in our nursery as well as modelling resources and activities and offering advice around these areas. Following this we offer the chance for families to use our lending library and maths sacks scheme.
We also invite parents in during celebration days such as Christmas, Eid, mothers & father’s day, and our leaver’s celebration
We send out regular questionnaires and comment cards so that we have the opportunity to listen to feedback and continue to improve our nursery school.
Please see calendar for further dates and details.
